Diabetes affects your blood sugar levels and intern your energy levels can be great affected. There is ALWAYS a time and place for insulin and medications to manage chronic diseases but did you know that exercise is medicine as well?  


Exercise can manage blood glucose levels, reduce your risk of stroke and heart attack and even potential reverse the effects of type II diabetes (Fellows, 2018). 


Using the expertise of a kinesiologist they can help you manage your diabetes. Again, I am in no way saying that exercise should and is your only option, all I am saying is that it will not hurt you to exercise and move more ðŸ˜Š 


A Kin can help you determine at what pace you should be moving, the proper exercises to perform, how to perform and how often. Diabetes Canada recommends 150 minutes of aerobic activity a week, this could be difficult for someone with diabetes as they commonly have other ailments. But kin can help finding an exercise that fits!  


We can help you figure out when is the optimal time to exercise safely, as diabetes affect your blood glucose. Encouraging you to monitor your sugar levels at multiple point in the session to be able to predict abnormalities and adjust to prevent!  


There are many medications out there that are designed to help people regulate their blood sugar levels, physical activity and meal planning can imitate the same effects of these medication with lesser to no negative side effects.
