  1. The weather is finally starting to warm up, despite the few days of snow we got in the last couple weeks (it is May why the heck is it snowing!). Anyway, inspired by the warmer weather I decided to share a couple tricks to stay healthy this summer!

    1. Sunscreen. People complain about this one sooooo much, especially when they are told they should put it on their face even when it isn’t very sunny outside. “I don’t like the smell”, “I don’t like the texture” blah blah blah. You aren't going to like the dark spots when you get older either, you aren't going tolike the fine lines and blotchy skin texture. Protect your skin now. This is something you can easily control. There are also hundreds of sunscreens out there so you are bound to find one that works for you! I personally used Neutrogena SPF60 on my face on a daily and I re apply when I am outside for a long time. On my body I use SunBum SPF30, I use this one mainly because I LOVE the smell.  because I LO
    2. Water. This is so important because as the days get hotter, we become more dehydrated because most of us will be spending more time outside. Makes sense right. Well many people forget that we should be drinking more. WATER, drinking more WATER. This will keep you going throughout the day, keeping you energized and feeling good!
    3. Don’t limit. Summer is the time for back yard barbecues and campfires. Don’t tell yourself oh I can’t have anything of the food or sweet treats because you are on a diet. This is not realistic and as human a big part of socializing is eating food. This doesn’t mean you have to eat 3000 extra calories of s’mores. It means eat a few with your friends to satisfy your craving but know your limits.
    4. Vitamin D. It is common for people to take a vitamin D supplement during the winter because we aren't all cold weather people, and if you are like me you try and avoid it like the plague. Summer is the perfect time to get that natural vitamin D into your body without having to take a supplement. Spend a little bit of time outside every day and enjoy what the earth has to offer!

    Yours truly,

    Meg
