Cold Hard Facts


Image result for lazyAs a Kinesiologist you would assume that I spend most of the day on my feet. Not really. I spend a few hours everyday running programs and tests, that is when I am on my feet. I am sitting for the rest of the day at a desk programming and analyzing.

The reality is that society today is LAZY. OK maybe lazy is too harsh of a word. But a large percentage of us don’t hit the exercise quota given to us (150 minutes of accumulates exercise in the week). We spend our days at a desk or sitting down and then go home and all we want to do is sit on our butts and watch TV. I know I am not alone here.

If my next statement does not motivate you to get moving like it did me I don’t know what will. SITTING IS THE NEW SMOKING. People are becoming more and more obesity because of malnutrition and lack of exercise. Obesity leads to increased risk for chronic disease! 

Nip it in the butt NOW, you will thank yourself LATER! Get up every hour and walk around, park farther from the doors, even better get a standing desk!
