Beat Of The Music

I have been working out for 7 years now but more seriously for the past three and there are few things along the way that I have discovered make a great workout! Obviously music is one of them! I am a big fan of country music and I guess you could call it indie rock. Have you ever wondered why people listen to rock and screamo at the gym? Through some research I actually found out that you can optimize your training using your music.

Rock music is great! The goal is to listen to music between 120 to 170 beats per minute because our heart will mimic the beat. Which lets us work out in our optimal range more easily and for longer. Along with this it also increases our endorphin release - feel good hormone.

A few of my favorite songs are:
  • Sabotage by the Beastie boys (168bpm)
  • Bang Bang by Jessie J and Ariana Grande (149bpm)
  • Megatron by Nicki Minaj (100 bpm)
Music can decrease boredom, increase motivation, increase the quality and stamina of your workout which leads to RESULTS! We all want results, music is a great, cheap easy way to help you along your fitness journey!

Yours truly,

Meg
