Why Self Care
Ahhhhh to pamper myself is my favourite thing to do! Self-Care = Self-Love. This is something I learned over the past few years. In order for you to take care of other people, you need to be able to take care of yourself! This is so important I will say it again. FOR YOU TO TAKE CARE OF OTHER PEOPLE YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
I believe in self care so much is because if you can’t take care of yourself, how are you supposed to take care of anyone else (moms are you listening). Set an example for those around you and show them that self care does not mean you are full of yourself or selfish or spoiled. It means you love yourself and value your health.
Whether it may be a monthly massage, a day at the spa (still on my to do list), creating a healthy meal, going to the gym, meditation, a bath, a face mask or a hot tea and Grey Anatomy. Self care can take 10 minutes to a couple hours, it is really a personal choice.
For me I take part in self care by exercising, having a hot tea, running a bath after a hard day of work, getting a massage once a month and more. If I skip one of care routines I can mentally and emotionally feel a difference.I am a G-R-U-M-P, GRUMP! I mean a RUNWAY from me kind of grump. I know that's bad and I am working on it! Taking proper care of myself allows me to give 100% when taking care of everyone else.
What I am trying to say is sometimes you have to put your health first! Set an example for those around you, inspire people to care for themselves :)
Yours truly,
Meg
