Feeling SAD?

Ohhhhh how the seasons change. With the weather ever changing here in Ontario, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is on the rise. I couldn't even tell you how many people I know are affected by this and don't even know it, myself included! When winter comes I swear my body thinks it is going into hibernation and all it does is sleep!

I did some research and with trial and error found that a vitamin supplement in the winter times helped me so much. I take a vitamin D supplement (5000 IU) and exercise regularly. I will always recommend getting vitamins and minerals through food first, sometimes you need that little extra umph!

I have been taking these supplements consistently for a while now and I notice a HUGE difference when I take my vitamin vs when I forget! Take your vitamins every day on a consistent basis – feel better.

The science: natural sunlight comes into contact with the skin, which then absorbs the UV rays. The UV radiation reacts with the enzymes in the skin, which initiates the internal production of Vitamin D. Vitamin D precursors created by this reaction are then converted to vitamin D. in the body Vitamin D acts on a number of cells and tissues. Throughout the body it stimulates growth and nutrient absorption! If you are not getting enough sunlight the process of conversion is limited and you become deficient in Vitamin D.

Everyone is different but this is what has worked for me! It does not work overnight but with consistency it is a life changer!

Yours truly,

Meg
